Fun In the Garden

Our little container garden, earlier in the season, maybe late May. I built the big container from 10 dollars of salvaged 2x8s from ReSource here in Fort Collins (their main location is Boulder; here's the site: http://www.resourceyard.org).

Suzanne was 7 months pregnant in this picture. Now she's about 8.95 months pregnant or so.

Later in the year, almost everything has taken off. That's Frisee in the front, cilantro behind (hard to see; they're wispy), then Nasturtiums have the discs, then one chard behind that (not as big as the chard in the left of the picture, which really liked a bigger container), then nearing the back we have quite a few radishes, and in the very back spinach. The three containers on the left, from front to back, have cucumber (just getting going), chard, and tomato.

I'll have to get some wider pictures of the garden so the rest of it: 7 tomatoes, 4 cucumbers, many carrots and beets and radishes, lambsquarters, 5 borage (Suzanne's favorite flower), a little pepper plant, oregano, basil (regular, greek, and thai), chives, broccoli, cauliflower, snap peas (which vine), marigolds (which also vine), and more I'm forgetting. And we're just getting some okra started.
